Whether the cooking talents are new or they are growing every camping season, make 2016 the year for taking them outdoors here at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park! With so many recipes to choose from, Yogi Bear himself thought he’d help out his favorite campers at Jellystone Park! He has compiled a list of his favorite fun, camping treats for all of the Louisiana campers:

  • Rise and Shine: If you love blueberries and French toast, check this one out. It is a pure love connection. Terra Firma Adventures’ Foil Packet Blueberry Bake is a morning meal the whole family will enjoy. Whip this up over an early campfire for a sweet start to the day. Looking for something a little less sweet, but very filling? We have just the outdoor breakfast: Lori Mama’s Camping Farmers Breakfast. This protein-filled breakfast has bacon, potatoes, and eggs. It’s sure to satisfy the family’s appetite before a fun-filled day of camping activities!
  • Pizza: Pizza is always the go-to weekend food for many campers here in Robert, Louisiana. Making camp made pizza sets the tone for the great outdoors! Lindsay at Outside Mom has great tips for a successful campfire pizza. Be sure to pack fun toppings in containers or plastic bags ahead of time. Bonus: this recipe is super simple—perfect for an end-of-the-day meal. *Quick Tip* make it seasonal and fun for the kids by creating fun shapes with the dough: Valentine’s Day hearts, or your favorite characters from Frozen (hello, Olaf pizza!).
  • For the Sweet Tooth: S’mores is classic camping staples; they’re perfect for the campfire and delicious. Looking for something a little fruitier? Yogi Bear found just the dessert! This warm, savory treat from Cooking with Jax is perfect for winter (and early spring!): Barbecued Apple Crisp. Don’t worry, there’s no barbecue sauce in it—it’s simple, tasty, and can be prepared at home first if you prefer. Just watch out for Yogi himself if your family chooses to make it—he may want some, too!
