Two Great Weekends & Too Much Fun at YOGI BEAR’S JELLYSTONE PARK™!

Yogi Bear is a legend in our part of Louisiana and Yogi, Boo Boo, Cindy and the gang want everyone to come celebrate a long “first official weekend” of summer 2014 right here in Robert, LA. Memorial Day Weekend (May 24-26) is fast approaching and camping and cooking are always at their best on a warm holiday weekend. Our annual Jelly Stone Park Volleyball Championship and our Golf Cart Poker Run will be so much fun. Everyone can get in on the action. Yogi’s Birthday Weekend (May 30-31, June 1) means singing “smarter than the average bear” to the tune of Happy Birthday Yogi. Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park  is the place to experience the fun and excitement of camping, swimming, and fishing in the beauty and nature of The Pelican State.  Enjoy our wonderful Bayou weather during these two back-to-back fun-packed family weekends. The family and kids will not want to miss either one. After our well known slate of volleyball games and the very popular Poker Run take place, everyone will have the memories needed to share at school and around the neighborhood when they get back home.  On Sunday the 25th, enjoy listening to great music by our camp band—live and in concert.  On Memorial Day Monday, take after Yogi and “sleep in” like a bear!  Yogi likes sleeping almost as much as finding “pic-a-nic baskets”! Celebrate time away from both school and work and celebrate Yogi’s Birthday!  Sing “Happy Birthday” to our favorite “Smarter than the Average Bear™” at his annual surprise party. Ssshhhh! He really has no clue that his best friend Boo-Boo and all of us here at the Jellystone Park are throwing him this lively party.  Win a trophy for the best-decorated birthday cake.  We will slice up the contest cakes and Ranger Rick will bring the ice cream. Be sure to do the Yogi Bear™ Shuffle at the dance with our live performing band. Speaking of Yogi’s birthday, did you know that Yogi Bear was born in 1958 and first starred as a supporting character on The Huckleberry Hound Show?  In 1961, Hanna-Barbera Productions liked him so much they gave him his own show; ready for the name? It is The Yogi Bear Show! Kids, not only has Yogi been on national television for decades, he has also starred in movies, video games, and even in his own comic book!  Of course, you can tell him “Happy Birthday” in person when you visit him at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park!
