An Amazingly Awesome Autumn Adventure Arrives at YOGI BEAR’S JELLYSTONE PARK™!

Make this October a time to enjoy loved ones at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Robert, Louisiana!  Our Southern Louisiana campground comes packed with great entertainment for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.  Campers, from all across the Bayou State, can be as busy (or as idle) as they desire when they visit our beautifully wooded campsite with two freshwater lakes for fishing as well as kayaking, paddleboat riding, and canoeing. Here are the events as we head to Halloween: Friday October 3 through Sunday October 5 is our annual Pumpkin Patch and Kiddie Carnival.  Did you know that pumpkins are really a type of winter squash?  Even more surprising, the United States alone produces 1.5 billion pounds of pumpkin every year! How many will you have on your porch this spooky holiday? This is a great weekend for grandparents who love bringing their grandkids to events like the Pumpkin Patch, so everyone can experience the thrill of the early autumn season.  We promise it will not be too scary for the little kiddies! Here is a sampling of the fun things we do:

  • Pumpkin Patch “Hey” Ride Parade
  • Ranger Rick’s Yummy 50-cent BBQ
  • Trick or Treat Time
  • Live D.J. Playing Festive Music
  • Kiddie Carnival with Great Games and Prizes

Watch out for Warlock Weekend happening October 10 through 12.  A warlock is like a magician or fortuneteller.  We know Halloween kicks off a very magical and special time of year.  We offer all the fun with none of the fright! Bring your family and friends to celebrate the following activities:

  • Team up for the Golf Cart Poker Run
  • Monster Mash Dancing
  • Decorating Contest
  • Live Karaoke
  • Night-Vision Volleyball
  • A Haunted Attraction
  • Trick or Treating

The Official Yogi Bear’s Halloween Checklist suggests bringing a costume, which can be anything from a sneaky ninja warrior to a fun loving pirate; how about a huggable bunny or even Spiderman? We love them all! Your costume may require make up (such as face paint). Bring your favorite candy and a candy bag.  Take your best decorations and even some scary music.  At night, our guests enjoy roasting their own marshmallows and making s’mores by the campfire. With the Witching Weekend from October 17-19 and Halloween Weekend from October 24-26, it will be a wonderful October for the kids and the family!   Make your reservations today. Vacations can happen every weekend! Visit our super cool kid’s page and click on a picture everyone wants to color from Yogi Bear to the Ranger!
